clueless drivers

i was in slow stop-and-go traffic leading to an onramp, and the car behind me tapped my bumper rather aggressively. i looked up and the drover was looking really apologetic. i got out, checked that there was no damage (i didn't think there would be, but it's good to check), and gave a handwaving "yeah, it happens, don't worry about it" kind of response to the mouthed "I'M SO SO SORRY" from the driver (still in the car)

which is all fine and well. except them i'm pretty sure the driver then went back to texting or reading on a blackberry or something like that.

i considered texting a twitter update or making a lj voice post about it from traffic for maximal irony, but instead i am writing about it now.

throw like a girl!

Eri Yoshida is the first japanese female professional baseball player since the 'women's baseball league' over there in the 50's or so.

she's 16 years old. she's in high school. and she can strike you out.
