i slipped while washing out my preferred weekend teapot (the 6-cup one for three big tasty mugs of tea) and managed to slam the end of the spout against the edge of the sink and broke the last half-inch off of the spout.

bah. and i'd just done a tea order from upton. ah well.

of course, now i'm tempted to get a bigger pot as well as replacing my 6-cup pot. or i could indulge in whimsey and instead of the plain earthenware solid color put, get one with sheep on it.

Glad it was the teapot and not part of YOU slamming into the sink so hard! I tripped two days ago while holding a tall glass of water. All I could think about was how bad it would be to have broken glass all over so I managed to fall saving the glass (spilling water everyehere, but no glass) and slammed both my knees hard on the wood floor. It occurred to me belatedly that surgery is much more of a nuisance and cost than replacing a glass.
