stretching my brain
hoo boy. there's some log processing i want to do on my html logs, so i figured i'd write a perl script to do it.
i am so *not* a programmer. or even a script-thug. so this is being good brain-stretching. i'm sitting around with a drink and a copy of "programming perl". it's very slow going, since i haven't done anything like this in a while.
i generally learn enough to do whatever it was that i wanted to do and then forget most of what i learned. so i have to re-climb the learning curve enough to write this.

but then i wouldn't climb the learning curve, which is most of the reason i'm doing this!

Maybe I could at least help you past a sticking point?

That's what they say, but I don't believe it.
If anyone has any good hints on on Learning To Program When Your Brain Keeps Saying "Oh No, You Don't!" I'd /love/ to hear them...
