stocktastic

I did thanksgiving dinner at my stepmother's, and I ended up taking the turkey carcass home and sticking it in my fridge. And then, this morning, I took the carcass apart, stripped a bunch of meat off it, and tossed it in a pot with a bunch of veggies and assorted bones that were in my freezer, and it's been simmering for about 5 hours, now. It smells great.

Nom. I'm not a turkey fan in general but I like turkey-based soups. If I hadn't already been running at fridge capacity I was seriously considering asking my f'list for any turkey carcasses that would otherwise get binned. Glad to hear this one is getting a burial at sea(soning).

The only thing I miss about an omnivore Thanksgiving the enormous vat of turkey gumbo Scherz and I would make that got us through most of the winter.
