I saw a very sad dog on my way to work today.

I was driving to work, and stopped at a stop sign and looked over and saw a very sad dog, sitting behind a fence, right in the corner of the fence, staring, dejectedly. And then I looked and realized the dog was staring at a tennis ball in the crosswalk.

I couldn't help it - I turned the corner, pulled over to the side of the road, got out of my car and picked up the tennis ball, and tossed it into the yard.

The dog was delighted. It grabbed the ball and scampered around clearly saying LIFE IS GOOD I HAVE THE BALL!

My morning is more delightful, now.

Oh how wonderful! This shows off the three steps that most people miss completely - noticing the sad, figuring out why, doing something to fix it. Thanks for doing them all! And telling us!

And thus, you've made two different critter's days... yours and the dog's.

Reminds me of helping the baby turkeys cross the road. The very last one, smallest one couldn't get up the curb. I went and helped it. OH SO CUTE!

YOU SAVED EVERYTHING!

also, btw, one of the reasons I love you is that of course you couldn't resist stopping... and that you noticed what the situation was in the first place.
