minority report
see the film, but don't read this before you see the film.
so, i was riding home from this and thinking "wait, how did it all bootstrap? how did the boss guy (burgess?) arrange for john anderton to go to that room to find the guy pretending to be sean's killer?
and i was thinking "aw man, it was holding together so well until this point. harrumf. stuuuupid bootstrapping problem"
and then i realized... it's all agatha's fault. she "arranges" everything. burgess decides to kill anderton because anderton is on to the fact that there are minority reports. burgess finds out that anderton knows this because anderton goes to him after seeing the various missing data streams in the corpsicle room. he goes to the corpsicle room (yeah, they're neither dead nor frozen, but you know what i mean - the prison warehouse place) because of the vision agatha shows him when she grabs him.
and then i was happy again.
