GAH

well, repointing the foundation has not completely resolved the FREAKY FUCKING GIANT CENTIPEDE OF DOOM problem with my basement. there weren't many of them before, but i just found one this evening while i was in the basement.

hate. hate hate hate hate hate. hate.

also, with the fear and revulsion and terror thing going on, too.

and the part where i feel all twitchy and hypsersensitive to anything touching my skin for a while after i deal with one of those things.

YUCKKKKKKKKKKK

Funny how the more legs something has (after 8) the less compassion I have for it. In Fact, I would say I deeply prefer beings with a power-of-two number of legs.

I guess Regis won't be watching "Centipede" on the Sci-Fi Channel Sunday.

Odd. I haven't seen a centipede since we came to MD. We just have a few crickets in the basement.

Hm.

The worst centipedes I've ever seen were these mobile fluffs of fur out in Oregon.

Why are they the worst? Because they were crawling all over this bike path I was walking on. And every time a bike ran over one, it would jet out the grossest green viscera imaginable. So there were tons of these squashed, no longer mobile, fluffs of fur on the path with A foot long spray of drying visceral ejecta in a most revolting color.

EEEW!
