crutches

holy crap, these crutches are annoying. perhaps i can get by with just my walking stick and just putting weight on the heel of the injured foot.

From someone who improperly dealt with a stress fracture right above her ankle: Try to put up with the crutches as best you can. The more you don't let it heal now, the less it will totally heal. Mine still aches if I walk too much, and it's been two years.

yeah, i'm looking at keeping as little stress on the injury as i can.

happily, i can put my weight on my heel without stressing the part that's injured, so i'm hobbling around with a walking stick and occasionally the crutches, making sure i don't annoy it. and i'll be calling my podiatrist later today to set up an appt.

but wouldn't it be cool to have a cast on your foot so you can kick the shit out of anybody who annoys you?

I'm sorry to hear that you hurt your foot. :P Use the crutches so your foot heals more quickly instead of risking further injury.

Clearly you need nubile young women to come to your house and cook and clean for you and tend your needs until you get better, so that you don't have to walk around too much.
