admiral hopper, please call your office.

i thwapped a small flying insect and it fell into my keyboard and i can't get it out. it's under the F6 key.

i think i need to dig up some canned air.

EDIT: air didn't do it. i had to take all the F keys off on that side of the keyboard as the air just pushed it down to the printscreen key.

also, man, my keys are kind of grody (unsurprising since i've had the keyboard for at least 6 or 7 years). i'm tempted to take them all off and run them thru the dishwasher in a mesh bag or something.

You might be able to pry it out with a nanosecond.

So um,...

Have you ever actually used the PrintScreen key?

(bonus points if you've ever actually used it to, say, print a screen)

I have, but to do screen captures, not print to an actual printer (if that even works anymore.)

I use it frequently these days because GoooleMaps doesn't really print very well- it's always printing a different scale or scope than I've set my screen to look at, and can't seem to print "Hybrid." So a little PrintScreen into photoshop, crop the edges, scale to 11x17 and print, works like a ... well, not quite like a charm, more like a spell: long and annoying with lots of little fussy steps, but you get the end result you want.

Dude, I *love* Admiral Hopper. She one of my all time great heroes.
