gratuitous use of new animated userpic

yeah, it's like that some days.

ETA: actually, i'm sort of having a reverse fight club experience. i'm coping lately by sleeping more than usual. not having insomnia followed by development of very peculiar personality disorders.

I'm tempted to steal that icon!

Sadly, or perhaps not so sadly, I haven't had the problem of wanting to beat myself up lately. I'm very *specific* about whom I want to beat up, and it's not me...

Sleep, you say. Interesting concept, I must try that some time.

go ahead!

steal away. i snagged a much bigger version of the animated gif from james urbaniak's lj and made it smaller to make it userpic-able.

One of these days maybe I'll watch "Fight Club", just so I can start to understand all the references.

i'm not sure you'd enjoy the film; the wikipedia page has a plot overview.

regardless, i'm happy to explain the references in this post if you want.

Naw, that's okay, to this date I've managed to avoid any real spoilers for it, Just In Case. I have this vague sense that there's some secret or surprise or something, but I still have no idea what it might be.

Judge it by its cover.

=v= You could always read the book. It's slightly longer than the Wikipedia entry and has fewer editors.

the book does have a far far superior ending than the movie does, imao.

Huh. I'd be interested to see how much you thought it was like Pi.

[identity profile] dfjdejulio.livejournal.com 2007-12-19 07:08 pm (UTC)(link)
It has something in common with "Pi"? Even if just something vague and only in the mind of a deranged so-and-so? Okay, maybe "one of these days" will come sooner than I thought.

[identity profile] babasyzygy.livejournal.com 2007-12-19 07:14 pm (UTC)(link)
Well, maybe. I might be the only one who thinks so, don't expect too much.

I'd also put Fight Club and Pi in the same category, along with The Usual Suspects, and maybe Adaptation. Damned if I know what the category is, though.

no, i can totally see the resemblence. they're both of a type.
