blood and violence and social media

blood: Gave blood on the way home. I'm still grooving on having figured out that I am eligible to give blood again - I've donated three times since December 09. AND I'm grooving on the fact that Boston Children's Hospital has evening hours and free parking for donors (if you park on in their garage on blackfan st). Mt Auburn? I love you guys and you took out my ovaries and everything, but Children's blood donation center wins with "stop on the way home and drop off some blood" convenience. Plus they have good swag. And it helps kids!

violence: Saw "Kick Ass" last night with KJC at an advance screening. It was fabulously eponymous. Hit Girl steals the movie, though.

social media: I'm poking at 4square a bit, intentionally doing so in a way that avoids spamming people who don't give a fuck about it. If you do care, I'm over there under my real name and feel free to link to me.

You rock with the blood donation!

Wish I could still give blood. The last time I went there was some nonsense about having lived in Europe between this year and that, on account of I could have contracted Mad Cow disease.

I came back from Germany in 1981. Don't you think I'd know if I had Mad Cow by now?

*headdesk*

My husband has this problem too. You probably can still sign up for bone marrow registry, though. They use different criteria (I get this question a lot at Arisia).

see, this is why i figure i should totally be bleeding as much as i can (plus, for some weird reason, i like doing it) -- i'm O+ and HIV-. MUCH OF THE WORLD WANTS MY BLOOD.

Yay you! I guess you're used to operating a vehicle after donating by now!
