Note to self!

I have a driveway, so I'm not as attuned to street cleaning schedules around my house as I otherwise might be. So I made a google calendar noting the dates. GO GO TECHNOLOGY.

If everyone you know adds their street cleaning schedules to it, then we could travel the country and never get dirt sprayed on our cars!

see, there we go. IT'S A PLAN.

it's less the dirt than the ticketing and towing for inappropriately parked cars.

Ahhh, see? You can tell I don't live in the city where my car could be inappropriately parked. I've got a side lot and one's in the driveway, one's in the grass half the time.

And I'm all about plans. I've got my BlackBerry set to alert me for the cleaning lady so I leave a check, for Tuesdays so I take out the trash, for 7:30 pm so Big J remembers to do the catboxes. I'm pants at remembering recurring things-to-do.

you can also subscribe to the city's street-sweeping email/twitter lists.

huh! i didn't know they had a twitter thing. cool.

i've already got some google calendar stuff (both mine and [livejournal.com profile] clauclauclaudia's, plus random other public calendars), so i'm used to looking at it for information, and i'd rather the pull than push nature of it.
