the snow is just ending and my sidewalk is shoveled. not as wide as i'll eventually make it, but anyone walking will be able to walk on the sidewalk not the street.

well, they will once my neighbors also shovel, unless they want to climb over the snow bank to get to my sidewalk. there's a pretty badassed plow berm waiting for me, but I'm going to wait until the plowing looks to be done for good before I do a final clear on that.

M got our walk shoveled out by 8 AM, then a sh*tload of snow slid off the roof and buried it again. It is like they situated the house and aimed the slope so that snow would hit exactly on the sidewalk.

yeah. most of the snow from my roof gets dumped onto my driveway. occasionally while i'm standing in it. I've gotten good at the "OH GOD I HEAR THE SLIDING SNOW" reflex to cover my head so I don't get clobbered by ice.
