breaking bad
So, I noticed "breaking bad" was on netflix streaming a while ago. I don't get whatever premium tv channel it normally airs on, so my knowledge of the show has been mostly based on cultural osmosis - seeing dvd cases and hearing/reading conversations that reference it. Then, at some point, I came across a quote from the show creator, Vince Gilligan, saying that he wanted to avoid the normal tv thing where characters tend to stay the same people throughout the series, and instead have something where a guy goes from "Mr Chips" to "Scarface". I was intruiged and watched a few episodes from the pilot onwards. So far, good stuff. It seems well suited for "watching while working in the kitchen" levels of entertainment.
