truth is hopefully less disturbing than fiction

I'm glad I'm not living in fiction, or else this woman's remains showing up just as this physically/demographically similar woman went missing would indicate an unpleasant conspiracy at hand.

More seriously, I'm glad they've found the first woman after so long, and I hope the other woman shows up alive or at least soon. In the first case, they've said there's no indication of foul play.

Sadly, the second woman's body has also been found. It appears she was washed away while trying to cross a stream. http://www.bostonglobe.com/metro/2015/10/16/body-found-white-mountains-believed-missing-hiker/nTtsqDCEx6DhyoaTUci8EK/story.html

So I saw. Poor woman.

A great piece of advice I saw for crossing rivers is to loosen/unbuckle straps on your backpack so that if you fall over, it's easier to remove and the pack doesn't turn into a very unwieldy anchor.
