AHA!

so, back when the movers moved my stuff, they were finishing up and i said "hey, wait, i didn't see the computer monitor and the printer come in" (both of which i was pretty sure had been moved in their original boxes, so they would've stood out). and they said "no i think we moved them in". so i went and didn't see the monitor box but did see the printer box hiding in the back of the front room, so i figured "eh, so, i'm blind. no problem"

but i couldn't find the monitor box. which started me getting nervous, thinking "oh dear, what if it got stolen off the back of the truck when they were shuttling it from the big truck to the smaller truck?" (i live on a narrow street) but i hadn't finished checking inside all the boxes that were large enough to potentially contain the monitor in case it hadn't been packed in its original box. but i did call the moving company and say "hey! this may be missing. heads up, guys. look around, could you?"

well, today ups delivered my monitor. and a couple of other boxes. i'm so very pleased.

my lips are still healing from the attack of cold sores, and so far i don't seem to have infected claudia (who's never had a cold sore, so i'd rather not be an infection vector). but we went to see "a beautiful mind" (good film, somewhat feel-good-ron-howard-ish, but better than i expected) last night.
