*sigh*

so, after cancelling plans with me (yet again) earlier in the month, my folks made plans to come up and have lunch and see my house (which i've owned for about a year now) for the first time yet again. this time, saturday lunch.

as soon as the phone rang this morning, i knew they were cancelling again. turns out my stepmother is sick. also, it's raining pretty hard down on the cape now (and raining non-traumatically up here) so between the two factors they opted to cancel.

QUICHE LA POODLE!

whee! i successfully made a quiche lorrainne (sp?) from scratch today.

it was a little underdone - i think the oven was a little cooler than i originally thought - but some careful microwaving fixed that.

yum! tasty tasty quiche!
