Public service announcement re Pocket service ending, or NOOOO! MAH POCKET!

Mozilla is shutting down "Pocket", the bookmarking/offline-reading app they bought a while back. End of pocket is July 8th. If you have a pocket account you can get an export before then.

Not sure what 'fakespot' is, but they're closing that down too. I'm annoyed by losing pocket and even more annoyed by the realization that this is probably so they can throw more resources at their favorite Stochastic Parrot.

I was completely befuddled by this reply because apparently I’ve missed this whole vampire thing. But it looks like that’s a different thing named “Pocket FM”.

Pocketis a bookmarking site that would load stuff for offline reading on a mobile device.

I haven't actually used Pocket in years but still have the browser plugin. And I think Kobo has or had an integration with Pocket, so I wonder what that update will look like if it hasn't happened already.
