i was perusing the jobhunting sites this morning and found myself looking over the entries for some jobs i've applied for. and i'm kind of annoyed and a little dejected because here i am with my skillset and experience and i'm applying for these jobs that are well within my ability and i'm not getting any kind of response from them and these positions have been open for months. you'd think if they can't find someone for a couple of months they'd at least answer me.

feh. what a fucking pain.

i keep reminding myself of what a clusterfuck it was to get candidates and dealing with hr when i was on the other side of things, which is helping a bit.

I honestly think at least half the job postings out there are phantom jobs. Openings companies don't really have but are keeping out there so they don't lose headcount or something. :P

I would guess that the positions aren't _really_ open, they're just too lazy to take down the postings, or they have a hiring freeze which will be lifted 'any day now' or they don't want to admit they're having problems by admitting they're not hiring or ...
