i just got back from the SF30 24 hour movie marathon (actually, we cut out early before the last movie since things were running late and we'd both seen the george pal "time machine" a few times so didn't mind missing it). most intruiging film we saw there: "primer"
it apparently won awards at the sundance film festival. it's complicated, and after it was over i kind of wanted to see it again to figure out what the heck happened. not like that david lynch "mulholland drive" kind of reaction, where you call someone up and say "hey, have you seen this movie? because i just saw it. what's it about?" more like a memento sort of "wait, does this all hold together?" reaction.
