stupid computer tricks

sigh. i finally got around to swapping out the cmos battery on the home media server i've been trying to fix. i did a full re-install of the OS and formatted the drives etc. and it went without a problem.

until i rebooted, at which point it hangs after the PCI device listing.

perhaps i'll pick up a motherboard later this week and swap that in and see what happens. *sigh*
