copyright violation of the day
Oct. 25th, 2005 09:22 amthis is, i assume, chock full of copyright violation (or at least full of pride about copyright violation), but it also rocked my socks off.
dj food's "raiding the 20th century". it's both an impressive example of styles of musical collage and a retrospective of musical collage. it runs the gamut from experimental music thru william burroughs and the beatles' revolution number nine, up thru scratching, mixing, sampling and mash-ups.
it's nearly an hour long, but it's worth the listen, i think.
