Nov. 12th, 2005 11:55 amso, as per usual this saturday morning, i'm listening to WERS's Standing Room Only showtunes radio show as i putter around drinking tea and folding laundry.
and suddenly it hit me.
ghostbusters: the musical.
it's got all the things broadway wants in their shows recently: based on a movie, big special effects, potential for re-use of pop songs from within the past few decades. rick moranis can sing (he was seymore in the movie musical version of "little shop of horrors"), so he could recreate his role from the movie. i can just picture a big production number with the three white ghostbuster guys singing about setting up shop, a ballad of unrequited love from the secretary...
