man, ever since i hit menopause like a brick wall, my skin has been all sensitive. and in the past 48 hours, it's noticed "hey, it's winter! it's dry out! WOOHOO, TIME TO FREAK OUT."

i'm mildly itchy in various spots (at the moment, my upper arms and shoulders, but it varies), and i pulled a bandaid off last nite and there's still a mark where the adhesive was. (i'm not allergic to the adhesive or anything)

i have a doctor's appt soon, so i'll ask if it's okay to up my claritin dose in times like this.

*sigh*

meanwhile, time for ANOTHER mammogram. if L7 or joan jett covered "i enjoy being a girl", i'd have to listen to it a lot on a morning like this. (neither the original nor the phrank version quite fit my mood)

so, the mammogram and subsequent ultrasound went well. i'm back to being a boring patient. YAY BORING. i do so hate being of interest to the medical community. the mammogram is an x-ray. the ultrasound is apparently to check whether items of interest are either boring old fluid-filled cysts or more interesting and more solid unknown things that would need biopsying and all that brouhaha.

the folks were good and showed me what they were looking to get better pics of, and the ultrasound tech turned the screen so i could also see what was going on, and everyone answered my various questions well, and then the radiologist doctor guy check things out and gave me my results then, so i don't have to wait for either doctor's appoint next week. (it's a festival of medical stuff this week and next for me.)
