coolest bandit ever, i think.
Apr. 18th, 2007 06:13 pmi know some folks who've run the boston marathon. and i know some folks who've run as bandits. (my favorite was the guy who usually ran as a qualified runner, but figured he wanted to run it "just for fun" one year and ran as a bandit)
i'm impressed at jacob. he's a big guy who lost nearly 90 pounds in a bunch of months and "finished" the marathon, running as a bandit. http://blog.whatwouldjacobdo.com/
he started after the qualified runners and finished with a pace of over 22 minutes. he's laid claim to last place (long after the official race ended), and i can't disagree with that. but still, that's impressive.
(edited to fix his pace time - i'd misstated it as over 12 min)
