i won with utter crap

i finished with a couple of days to spare. it's complete and utter crap, with a narrative so disjointed that the separated limbs are in different area codes. but i completely succeeded at my goal to actually maintain writing to get 50K words out of my hands and into the keyboard.

next year, i'll try for something coherent. :-)
