I've set up a twitter feed for announcements of somerville snow emergencies.

caveats:
1. it's not official.
2. it probably won't be more timely than letting the city call your cellphone.
3. twitter SMS traffic sometimes arrives hours late (at least at my phone)
4. there will be no other updates besides snow-emergency-related updates.
