as an example of how work has been kicking my ass, i woke up about 0400 and i was at the data center at 0500 this morning to do a code upgrade on a firewall because the firewall code has a bug in it. stupid nasty code.

i realize this is in the class of 'petty first world problems'. i'm reasonably healthy and gainfully employed. i'm sitting around in my apartment with my beloved long term girlfriend eating tasty buffalo-based soup/slop on rice that i just finished cooking. things could be much worse.
