save! the! wave!
May. 21st, 2009 10:36 ami confess, i completely imprinted on 1980's new wave music.
my favorite seattle radio station, KNHC, has a streaming feed on the net. and on thursdays from 7 AM until (i think) 9 AM seattle time (that's 10-12 on the east coast), they have a show "save the wave" that is a solid mix of new wave stuff.
i admit, it does make me a bit old when they use the tag-line that it's mixed by dj trent "who was there".
but it's a great mix. i suggest checking it out. http://c895worldwide.com/ has links to their feeds. and if you've got an iphone, the public radio app works. (and that means i can drive around listening to a seattle radio station in my car in MA. I LOVE THE FUTURE)
oh, and the coolest thing about KNHC? it's not college radio. it's high school radio. substantially run by high school kids.
the rest of their format is dance music, and is great if you like that sort of thing.
