It seems that Richard O'Brien lived in New Zealand for a while before going off to find fame, camp, and endless imitators with the Rocky Horror Show. There's a statue of Riff Raff in NZ, complete with a live webcam in case you want to watch for people following the instructions on the sign behind the statue.
