tis the season
Oct. 25th, 2017 12:52 pmIf any of y'all are in the mood for horror movies because halloween season, https://unwinnable.com/2015/02/10/recent-horror-movies/ has
an interesting list of lesser-known or under-appreciated recent horror films.
I liked the ones I know on there ('john dies at the end' (silly and fun horror comedy), 'coherence' (not gross and not something i'd class as horror - it's 'who's afraid of virginia woolf' by way of the 'twilight zone'), 'grabbers' (hilarious - very 'tremors'), 'pontypool' (really good, and canadian), 'europa report' (also really good, again not what i'd class as 'horror' per se), 'the babadook' (yessss), 'the taking of deborah logan' (also interesting), 'i am not a serial killer' (i enjoyed it but i liked the book even better[1])), so I'm guessing my tastes and the writer's tastes overlap at least somewhat.
Not on that list (probably because it doesn't count as lesser-known? or maybe it's too old), 'the descent' which is a really good creepy stuff in a cave movie.
