got home at 6:30pm sunday night after the second day of sailing.

by 7:00pm i was drowsing in a recliner chair.

by 7:30 i was so sleepy it would've been unsafe for me to drive. then several of the cats took turns laying on my chest and using their magic kitty sleep spell.

i woke up a bit around 9 and it took a good 5 minutes of planning to drag myself out of the recliner at which point i staggered to the bedroom and fell dead asleep, my inner ear still kind wibbling as it attempted to reconcile a comparatively fixed frame of reference.

You're NOT helping me resist the idea of signign up for one of the harbor sailing clubs (I was a member of boston sailing center for a year or two, and loved every minute of it. Just can't afford it this year)

But yay sailing!

One might observe that you know at least two BHSC members already. I'd actually be curious to hear your impressions of them vs. BSC sometime, which of course requires you coming and sailing with BHSC so you have something to compare to. :)

My schedule is remarkably open. Pick a time or date, let me know, and I'll be there.

Hobbies are supposed to be exhausting. Try martial arts sometime.

i did, a while back, and did, in fact, discover previously unknown levels of exhaustion.

i was mostly just startled by the difference between a pleasant mellow day of sailing (not particularly tiring) and sailing hard under very windy conditions (exhausting).

Sea air makes you more tired. Plus, all the exercise of keeping yourself upright while sailing. It's a healthy tired. Good for what ailes ya. The cats knew what they were doing. :)
