making a spectacle of myself

so, frotz and cmeckhardt and i went sailing out in the harbor on tuesday evening. it was a pleasant sail out and we were passing spectacle island and decided to dock there and eat our dinner since the park is open, now, so we did and it was nice.

and what chatting with one of the rangers sitting around enjoying the sunset, i commented that most of what i knew about spectacle island came from reading "zodiac". the ranger said "well, we don't much like that book, here". and i agreed that it was a somewhat skewed depiction of the island and she agreed that it was something of a fun read anyways, and all was good.

but still, i was amused.
