i'm on a boring concall, and i'm idly browsing the web, so i'm going to talk about knives on my LJ!

is there anything that spyderco makes that *isn't* awesome?
very pretty but very expensive

apparently, when it comes to knives and marketing to the demographic of knife-owners who are chicks or like pink or maybe just have tits (some of these are "raise money for breast cancer cure" special editions), pink is the new black

I still carry a SpyderCo, after many years and two wars. Now it's a glorified box opener, but it's still my favorite.

I've lost most of my Spydercos, and what I miss the most are my left-handed Police model as well as a black Police.

These days, I prefer SOG and Benchmade, though. The SOG (removes from sheath, checks model name, flicks it open and shut a dozen times) Pentagon Elite I is one sweet blade.

I got my first Spyderco from a dyke knife vendor who used to do the Fetish Fair Fleamarket a long time ago. I wonder what ever happened to her?
