hooray for dental technology

called the dentist at 0830 as instructed. they found some space in the margins to sneak me in starting at 0930, so i headed over with a book (since i expected to be waiting a fair bit).

things were much less dire than i expected -- last nite i had visions of emergency root canals, losing the tooth, posts and implants, and other major dental procedures dancing in my head.

it turns out this is something that can be fixed with an overlay (which is somewhere between a filling and a full-on crown). so i've got a temporary overlay in place for now, and an appt lined up for the fitting/prepping part of the overlay process in a couple of weeks.

Thank goodness! I only caught a glimpse of this Friday night before passing out... (so tired). Then I accidentally hung out with Kam when she came into MYP looking for Digger by Ursula Vernon and she filled me in on the details.
