arisia happened. it was good. the kjc/regis party went well, although i didn't make it out of there to do partyhopping of my own on saturday. friday, i did, since there was a circlet press party in our room. all that damned smut, you know.

nice to see the folks i did. bummed to have missed the folks i didn't see. some nice art-show stuff, not a lot new on dealer's row, but i did get to wish koshmom and tyler well in person.

oh, and speaking of MLK weekend, the jim crow museum, and an exhibit called THEM about other groups that are oppressed. some good stuff here. where by good i mean "oh god, what the hell, man"

at this jim crow exhibit. ferris.edu is in michigan, but i don't know where the exhibit might travel to.

i think the original source for the list was some entertainment periodical, which is why it's media based and the characters rather than something complicated like the authors.

also, they missed the fact that morpheus is a notable character for breaking the trope of "the black guy always dies, usually to save the nice white folks"
