Based on the comments, maybe some of those mosquitoes were infected with malaria too. Suddenly, attending a TED conference in person became a whole lot less interesting.
Well, he's managed to make more money than anyone _I_ know. While that may take a lack of scruples more than genius, it sure seems like a smarter move than all that money I stuffed in my 401k's over the last two decades.
Perhaps that he's no longer head of Microsoft, he was missing all the bugs his former position made him familiar with, and so needed something to feel "at home" with his new direction.
i'm still waiting for confirmation that's not based on someone's twitter update, but yeah, it's a great way to raise awareness about malaria.
