years ago, i became fond of kirk's castile soap (caution - that link annoyingly tries to resize your browser window). clauclauclaudia has also realized the excellence that is kirk's soap. but all of the places i'd been buying it have stopped carrying it.

*shake fist*

DAMN YOU, SOAP! i have to seek out new places to buy it. it popped up briefly at the trader joe's on mem drive, but they've stopped. they didn't have it at the portah stah maahket last time i checked, either. harrumf. not even the hippies over at the harvest coop had it.

in the mean time, i've picked up a couple of bars of bronner's unscented castile soap as a possible alternative.

Those responsible for this sort of behavior should be beaten severely about the head and neck.

Though inconvenient, it looks like you can get it via mail-order. http://www.kirksnatural.com/

I will, however, check the TJ's down here in Annapolis as I'd seen it there a while back. If they've got it, I'll happily grab some for you tomorrow and get it to you PDQ!

yeah. there's the web site or some folks selling it thru amazon and such. i'm not sure the soap is worth ordering compared to other available stuff.

WOOHOO GET YOUR ASS BACK UP TO BOSTON ALREADY, WOMAN.

Hm... I may be wrong, but I think I've seen those in the laundry isle of someplace, either Stop&Shop or Shaw's. I think people are using it just for stain spotting.

Out of curiosity, why do you like Kirk's over Dr. B's?

Trader Joe's does this all the time, the bastard whores. They stock something I really like, then it just vanishes, never to be seen again.

Still mourning the loss of the chicken pierogies,

i, to a small extent, and claudia, to a much much larger extent, prefer the way it leaves our skin feeling. the bronner's comes close, but the kirk's is a bit nicer.

yeah, the porter star has historically carried it, and the star over on winter hill did back when there was a star market on winter hill. the porter hasn't had it for the last couple of times i tried, though. hopefully, they were just out or something.

it's usually more near the bars of laundry naptha than near the bars of dove or dial.
