Until this post on metafilter yesterday, I was unfamiliar with the Arlington Ladies (and now there's an Arlington Gentleman as well). An Arlington Lady is an attendee at every Arlington Cemetery funeral for folks from the Navy, Air Force, and Army. (The Marines have chosen not to participate.)
