Meanwhile, looking at Dr Who...
May. 30th, 2011 04:47 pmspoilers up through the beginning two-parter, "impossible astronaut" and "day of the moon"...
So. Amy Pond grew up in and lived in a nice house. (It looks like she and Rory are living somewhere else now that they're married but who knows.) We've seen the interior and exterior of that house a bunch of times since the start of last season thru all the Matt Smith episodes.
Amy's bedroom is on the second floor, at the foot of a flight of stairs leading up from the 2nd floor. Except ... all of the exterior shots show that it's a two story house. Where does that set of stairs go to? It doesn't look like there's much of an attic, and certainly not enough attic to burn the real estate for a whole full-sized set of stairs up to the crawl space.
Parts of Amy's house have been invisible to her (blah blah perception filter blah blah) even though we can see the door to the prisoner zero room. Is this another part of her house that nobody notices? (except the Doctor noticed the 'missing' room, so, idunno) Is it like the top floor of the house in "The Lodger", where the upper part of the house where nobody goes is actually a space ship? (which, I'll note, looks a lot like the consoles that are at the place in Florida they go and hang out) Has a big mystery been hiding in plain sight for a season and a half, which is as long as characters have been saying "Silence will fall" portentiously, from prisoner zero onward?
