new year's eve afternoon

rmdI was worried that 2016 was going to throw one last log on the fire, but my round trip to cape cod yesterday afternoon turned out to be just a chance to drive someone home from the ER and not having to rescue the dog because her owner had been admitted out of the ER.
But it's not that surprising that after that fire drill I ended up just opting to stay in and sleep early.![[livejournal.com profile]](https://www.dreamwidth.org/img/external/lj-userinfo.gif)
clauclauclaudia woke me up to say "happy new year" and then I went back to sleep and started the new year with a big solid night's sleep which is not a bad way to begin.
