i have one of those cool "persistence of vision" clocks that waves a single line of LEDs back and forth and times the lights just right so it looks like the display is floating there in midair.

normally, the display randomly cycles among the date, the day of week, the time, and various combinations thereof. but today, there's an additional thing in the mix: "someone awaits you tonight! happy valentine's day!"

which, i mean, is kind of cute, but wow, when i didn't have someone awaiting me on v-day eve, it would've pissed me off massively.
