Hm. Every time I hear "A Christmas Story" I remember Gene Sheppard (K2ORS) and the tape he made to help learn the code.

He has a good voice.

Oh, that voice. One of my few long-standing regrets is not saving the tape from the time he left a long message on our answering machine. "Hi. This is Phil. I'm glad you liked my... song."

I think he still shows up at the occasional MIT Flea, too.
