i love dogs...

i love dogs. it's not that i treat dogs like people, it's that there are some people i treat as well as dogs.

but my god, my neighbor's little yapdog is annoying. i don't think i could bring myself to do violence to the dog, but i honestly wouldn't mind at all if it suffered some tragic accidental atrophying of its voicebox (barkbox?)

at times, it's a simmering hate, when the damned thing is going for what seems like 10 or 15 minutes.

Go running out there with a hoagy bun and a jar of dijon mustard, look at the dog, then mumble "yeah, it'll fit..."

we had a little ratdog sounding dog barking outside last night. kept us both up for quite a while.

what i want to know is this - at midnight, why are owners letting their dogs bark like that? do they somehow not HEAR what is happening outside?
