the sunburn on my face apparently irritated my lips enough that i've got a cold sore.

the herpasaurus rex is stomping on my upper lip. harrumf.

Try taking L-Lysine. It's an amino acid that helps you get over cold sores much faster and helps prevent them. I keep some in my medicine cabinet and in my travel bag.

Mine are almost always tied in with my menstrual cycle, particularly if I'm also ill. It jsut seem so totally unfair to have PMS and a cold and then whammo a cold sore, too. Like the universe is ganging up on me.

The obscenely expensive cream my doctor prescribed works pretty well on my cold sores. Denavir, I think.

yes! i love abreva. i'm using it now, but while it reduces things, i still get hit with some level of coldsore.

bah. my lower lip is trying to split, too.

next time i'm out like that, i must use lip balm containing sunscreen.
