hmm. this should be an interesting experiment. i made a sponge starter for bread last night (with an eye towards letting it rise for an hour or two and then putting it in the fridge overnight) and i accidentally left it out for about 6 hours before putting it in the fridge. i just took it out and added the rest of the flour and some salt and left that to rise. i'll be curious to see if this turns out substantially different.

At least it wasn't chicken satay that you left in the microwave all night and all day and then put in the fridge and didn't tell anybody, hoping they'd eat it and die.
