so, apparently, it's not just harvard square that's impossible to park in around 6 - 7pm. trying to park around coolidge corner also sucks massive moose wang. i was going to go to a book reading in coolidge corner today but between traffic on route 9 making me a bit late and failing to find a parking spot making me even later, and the fact that i had to go to the airport later in the evening... well... gosh. note to self: leave lots of time for finding parking in coolidge corner.

seriously, that's part of the world I refuse to take any kind of vehicle to other than one with eight wheels and a pantograph on the roof.

I turned down a very attractive group-house situation (hi feoh) some years ago because it was in Coolidge Corner. Took me almost a full hour to get there from Storrow, *before* dealing with parking.

Yeah, I hate to tell you this but massive construction in Brookline has severely constricted the available parking for a couple of years now, and doesn't look to be letting up anytime soon. You don't park at Coolidge Corner; if you're lucky, you park further up Harvard or Beacon Street and walk or take the T...

i don't usually go there at such peak time (usually on a sunday evening for a movie or something), so i'm used to being able to find parking within 5 minutes or so.
