i have a suspended ceiling in my hack room. i left a couple of the tiles out because at least two of the cats like to wander around up there. it's like a special extra cat-sized floor to the house.

i was commented this morning on the cats in the ceiling, and how there are horror stories that start that way. and i suddenly blanked on the name "h. p. lovecraft". and i tried to remember his name and my brain helpfully provided the next closest thing it could come up with: "d. h. lawrence". (similar format of name, i started reading them both at the same age, etc)

the literary possibilites are astounding, really.

Every knows that once the cats come out of the walls, it's all over.

OW. My brain hurts. That's bloody brilliant!

It's almost as bad as my own personal literary concoction (http://www.everything2.com/index.pl?lastnode_id=124&node_id=752540).

Well I'm sitting around trying to write a letter
I'm wracking my brains trying to think
of another word for horse
I ask my brain for some assistance.
And he says: Huh...Let's see...How about cow?
That's close.

My mom and I were wandering a castle garden in Salzburg, and she made some comment about how if one had a garden like this, one would also have to have a gardener wink wink, nudge nudge, just like Lady um um um Lady Chastity! Then we both laughed about how inappropriate that was. She comes up with great almost-right stuff a lot.

coming soon: the HP LoveCraft

I'm still waiting for the Hewlett Packard marketing people to stumble onto this name for their exciting new line of programmable vibrators or something

H.P. Lovecraft crossovers are a fine art. The best one in existence is titled, Scream For Jeeves, by H.P.G. Wodecraft. Bertie and Jeeves encounter squamous and gibbering horrors, and eldritch hijinks ensue.
