so, tonite i figured i'd mop and scrub my bathroom floor -- there are some grody bits of tile on the floor near the edge of the tub. so i swept the bulk of the floor (getting up stray q-tips behind the toilet and bits of cat litter the cats have flung hither and yon) and then started cleaning from the top of the room down. i got to the radiator cover, which has ugly veneer that's peeling away from the underlying wood, and it annoyed me enough that i spent the next half hour or so with a chisel peeling the veneer off. then i put down some contact paper, which while not as durable is certainly easier to clean (since it's a high dust zone). now i have to get back to the thing i was supposed to be doing.
