the thunderstorm watch has been cancelled. so much for big huge thunderstorms with a lot of rain followed by a cold front. harrumf.

i hosted opn (for a second time ever) this past week. pretty much everyone else was, i think, drying out baitcon camping gear. :-)

it seemed to go well. it was a lot of sitting around the kitchen table and talking, as opposed to the last time when we had some assorted card games going. happily, claudia had fired up the air conditioning early in the evening so it was a reasonably civilized temperature inside the house.
